Oracle Racing Dominates in Newport

Sean from Northeast Boater was on scene today as Oracle Racing Team USA dominated at the America’s Cup World Series in Newport, RI. First off was an All American Finale in the match racing with Russell Coutts’ team beating his team’s A boat driven by James Spithill. In the fleet race Luna Rossa Piranha, helmed by Britain’s Chris Draper, took the win and won the fleet racing championship for Newport. Oracle Racing’s Coutts took 2nd in the fleet race capping off a great week for them. Oracle Racing’s Spithill took 5th in the fleet race thus giving him both the Fleet racing and overall Championship for the 2011- 2012 America’s Cup World Series.
