Boaters Rescued Near Fort Niagara

The weather is warming, and some of the braver (or some may say more foolish) boaters are starting to head out on the water in the Northeast. With the boating season beginning, we’re also starting to see the rescues on the water beginning. This weekend was no exception.

WGRZ.com reports that a 19-foot boat capsized in Lake Ontario Saturday afternoon with three men on board. Multiple police and rescue agencies responded to the boaters’ 911 call. The incident occurred about three nautical miles offshore from Four Mile Creek State Park, near Fort Niagara.
