Drawbridge Down

Old Lyme Bridge
I just received the following message from Grant at the CT Marine Trades Association and thought I’d share for anybody boating in southern Connecticut with this fine Spring-like weather…

The Old Lyme Draw, Conn River Railbridge was scheduled to be in the down position until Tomorrow, Wednesday, March 7th at 2300 hrs for bearing replacement. The channel will remain open but the overhead clearance would be approximately 19′ with a closed span.

Due to some mismatching of parts the bridge will be down in the closed position an additional 24 hours until Thursday, March 8th at 2300 hrs. At that time they anticipate that the repairs should be completed.
