Big Boat Show Weekend For New England

New England has several boat shows going on this weekend sprinkled across Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

Spring Boat ShowsOn Saturday and Sunday, come meet me and see the Boat Name Gear display exhibiting at the Brewer Spring In-Water Boat Show at Brewer Pilots Point Marina in Westbrook, CT. If you are in Connecticut, please stop by this show and say hello. The land-based vendors will all be in the shed where there will be plenty of Mother’s and Father’s Day gift ideas, as well as boating products and services you’ll need to launch this spring. I’ll be in the first booth on the left in the shed. And, there will be plenty of nice boats on display at the docks.

The Brewer organization is also hosting boat shows at a few other locations, including Essex, CT and Warwick, RI.

Coincidentally, Warwick is also one of several locations involved in what organizers are calling the Rhode Island Boat Show on Saturday and Sunday, with additional boats on display in Jamestown and Bristol.

If you’re closer to Boston than Bristol, you will enjoy the South Shore In-Water Boat Show, Friday through Sunday from 10 to 5 each day in Hingham, MA.

While all of these boat shows are smaller than, say, the New England Boat Show or even the Hartford or Norwalk shows, they are usually free and give you a chance to see the boats in the water. They are intimate so you can really take your time looking at the boats you like the best.

I’ll be at another boat show in CT next month. Milford, Connecticut is hosting this year’s SailQuest – a boat show with new and used boats and plenty of products and services on display, from May 18 to 20, 2012. More info.
